JAGSL members promote, foster, and encourage a spirit of mutual interest among owners of Jaguar automobiles. But we're not exclusive (well, not very), and welcome others to join the club and attend our many automotive events. As our very own Gary Schlueter, mechanic extraordinaire, puts it, "Come for the cars, stay for the people."
The Jaguar's Growl is JAGSL's monthly newsletter (published ten times per year), covering JAGSL events, business, and subjects of potential interest to Jaguar enthusiasts generally. Advertising in The Growl is available, reaching not only local members, but anyone who accesses the Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) website, in addition to a constantly growing email listserv of Jaguar enthusiasts across the country who receive the digital Growl in their emailboxes.
JAGSL hosts a variety of car and social activities throughout the year. Regular club meetings cover the Association's business adequately, but largely give members an excuse to get together, whether Jaguars tag along or not. From time to time, day or even overnight trips are arranged so that we can get our Jaguars on the road and visit interesting, often beautiful, places within a (hefty) stone's throw of St. Louis. Shorter rallyes let us explore the local region and learn a thing or two of our regional history and culture ... of course, the drives inbetween these spots often serve as highlights: it's not the destination, but the journey! JAGSL members attend and often participate in local and regional car shows that cater to much more diverse marques than "merely" Jaguar. And JAGSL hosts its own yearly Jaguar (only) car show, the Jaguar Concours d'Elegance (to which the public is cordially invited).
