50's Classics: There's Finally an App For That
Car owners are just as proud of their vehicles as they are of their children. Any self respecting classic car owner will carry pictures of their ride in their wallet along side their kids' pictures. I know this for a fact. I've seen it all before. Even outside of shows and cruises, when other car enthusiasts find out that I run a local car site, the pictures come out. I appreciate them even more than the baby pictures. This is not just because I am a "car guy" but, to me, all babies look like Winston Churchill.
Yet a common phrase is, "...the pictures don't do it justice."

Car Show or Cruise Planning
The Area Rides contact list is gradually filling with groups and businesses who have offered up their lots for car clubs and event planners to host their shows. There have also been requests from car show organizers for specific vehicles to attend their shows. As part of the Area Rides mission I will be instituting a new plan for AreaRides.net.

Vendors Needed June 9th, 2012
The folks at Craven Performance in St. Peters, Missouri are having a show/cruise at their shop on June 9, 2012. They are looking for a few more vendors to attend. This is a good opportunity to sell or show off your wares and see some cool vehicles.

Got a Truck?
The Kemp Auto Museum in Chesterfield is in need of some trucks. They will be having their Big Truck Day on June 10, 2012 and would like to fill their venue with more vehicles. BigFoot along with many other trucks like old fire engines and big rigs will be on display. They want your big truck to come along too!

Montgomery Motorsports Park ReOpens
With all the latest hubbub centered around the Mid America Raceway Park successful court drama a neighboring track has reopened not too far away. According to the Gasconade CountyNewsLive website the track should have opened this past Memorial Day weekend. There has been extensive renovations and improvements.
