I feel I must make this entirely and abundantly clear. I want no misinterpretations. I want all to know how I feel about Facebook and why there is always issues with the Area Rides Facebook Page.
At the moment the 2002 Ford Taurus that I use everyday for regular daily driving has Castrol GTX. In the next day or two I will be using Pennzoil Platinum and a Pennzoil filter. If, at this moment, you are thinking better get ready for some sludge. You cannot be more wrong.
I will admit that the folks who sign my paycheck get their money from Pennzoil. I have been waving the Pennzoil Standard a lot lately. Mostly, I have been going by the buzzwords and the indoctrination and the usual learning-the-job routine to arm myself against the naysayers. I have been saying nothing but good about the brand and its product, but I have never been sufficiently educated either... until today.
It's the easiest way to get some money for your club!
I had only hinted at the latest news on the Area Rides Facebook Page. That is about all I can do right now. I can say that this is definitely going to be a boon to this site and those connected to it. If anything it will help to begin with. I am not entirely sure about the long-term effect. I do know that it is a good thing for Area Rides, the community and me personally.
All through the weekend I had mentioned to few people that I had shot a lot of footage; even more than last year. I bragged about how I planned it so much better than any other event video. I boasted about how this video will surpass the quality of the previous one. I said that would make this the best video I'd ever made. What I did not account for is the pain...
This season has brought many new opportunities for Area Rides. As it is mostly a one-man show, Area Rides- therefore I- cannot take full advantage of most of them. Not wanting to pass up anything and let the community down, I am needing some photographers...
For the first time since its inception, Area Rides is finally poised to become something greater than it has ever been. Even in the last three years of my dropping nearly everything to focus on Area Rides and build upon it to make it bigger it has never had this much potential. With the direction that it has taken of late it can not only become greater in the local automotive community, but could eventually take the entire Mid West by storm; it may even make the folks on the coasts to take notice of us hillbillies living in the fly-over states...
The Menu Item "Events" has been changed to "Gallery". This makes it a little less confusining for those looking for event information. All of that is in the Calendar. Since I recently added the video that is just about one shop and the car they built it did not fit under Events. Now it is Gallery. The address still says events so any bookmarks will still work.
Check out the Gallery!
